EGGXIT

The Egg poses the classical question: what came first?

The Egg is a statement. You put your Egg where you want it to be.

It is a capsule with which you can also shut yourself away from the world.

The Egg stands for both exploration and contemplation as a paradox. The Egg is a reference to a protected, sheltered environment, anticipating the moment the outside world is waiting for. What will appear?

The Eggs will give people, the opportunity to both discover and rediscover, a location, in a new, informal mode that is adventurous, direct and personal, and interacts with the environment and its inhabitants.

“Eggs” is a mobile system that allows us to transform space into an elegant and visually attractive home base.

Target group are those who want to leave the beaten path and take a different, more adventurous way to find a closer connection with an environment. The module is very strong and impact-resistant, and functions well in high and low temperatures. Breathable yet impermeable, the Eggs weigh approximately 60kg and can be transported with a small trailer and bike. A solar panel for LED lighting and charging are provided, as well as a comfortable mattress and bedding.

The outside of the egg can be printed with art, advertising or camouflage. It can be either an invisible object in nature, or an artistic installation in public space and attractive showcase for publicity at festivals and events.

The Egg is an artistic project currently with ambitions to have it evolve into a commercial venture. The Egg is a project of Jan-Willem and Tzara-David Thonnon. The surface print is purpose-designed by Marina Yee.

Currently we are busy improving the design as we pursue the final version for release.
